+Human Trafficking in South Dakota: Join us for a presentation by Becky Rasmussen from the Call to Freedom organization on Wednesday, Nov. 29th at 7 p.m. in the St. Michael Multipurpose Room (Door F). Everyone is encouraged to come and be empowered on how to combat this issue that plagues our society.

+“Sing Noel” at The Abbey of the Hills will be Saturday, Dec. 2nd, starting with a social at 5 p.m. followed by the concert at 7 p.m. The 2017 concert will feature the choirs of Southwest Minnesota State University in the main church's fantastic acoustical setting. +Please come to the Advent Afternoon of Recollection on Sunday, Dec. 3rd from 1:30-4 p.m. at St. Lambert Parish. All are invited. There is no registration or cost. Together, we will prepare our hearts for Christmas.

+Christ the King Parish Christmas Cookie Extravaganza is Sat. & Sun., December 9th-10th. Cookies will be sold on Saturday, Dec. 9th from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and following all the weekend Masses. Cookie prices are $4/dozen. Buy 10 dozen or more at $3.75/dozen.

+The Abbey of the Hills will be offering a Day of Recollection on Tues., Dec. 12th. Join Fr. Jeff Norfolk as he presents on Our Lady of Guadalupe. Cost is a free-will offering. Registration is required for meal planning purposes. Please register at www.abbeyofthehills.com

+We are excited to announce the 21st Christmas at the Cathedral will be presented Thursday-Sunday, Dec. 14th-17th at St. Joseph Cathedral. This year’s theme is “Here With Us.” There are several ways to purchase your tickets: 1) at any Sioux Falls Hy-Vee store; 2) online at www.ccfesd.org; 3) by phone at 988-3788; 4) by email to events@ccfesd.org; or 5) stop by the Catholic Community Foundation Office (523 N. +Eucharistic Ministers are needed to bring Communion to patients at Avera McKennan Hospital. This is a unique and rewarding ministry. To become a Eucharistic Minister in the hospital, you may contact Avera McKennan Volunteer Services at 322-7897 or leave a message at the Catholic Chaplains office at 322-7948.

+Walking Rosary is held on the first Friday of every month at St Michael Cemetery (rain or shine) beginning at 10 a.m. Please gather at the Chapel on the west side of the office. When the weather doesn't cooperate, we stay in the Chapel.

+New baby at your house? Join other moms with their babies at "New Baby and Me" every Thursday afternoon from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Sanford Women's Health Plaza (5019 S. Western Ave., Suite 200). Moms with new babies enjoy meeting, socializing and offering support to each other. Guest speakers share their area of interest on topics specific to the first year of baby's life. Come, ye thankful people, come! Join us Wednesday, Nov. 22nd at 6:30 p.m. for our parish Thanksgiving Eve Mass, followed by a pie and coffee social! Please bring a non-perishable food item to help support our Parish Food & Diaper Pantry.


Our St. Katharine Drexel Parish Vocations Committee invites you to pray for vocations, especially for those in our parish who are considering the vocation of priesthood, religious life, or the permanent diaconate. Please join our Vocations Committee in our Chapel for Eucharistic Adoration for the intention of vocations on the first Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and a Rosary for vocations each Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m.

 St. Katharine Drexel Parish serves supper at the St. Francis House (1301 E. Austin St.) on    the 3rd Friday evening of each month. Four people are needed to come at 5:30 p.m. to   help  make and serve supper and 3 people are needed to bake goodies for dessert. The    sign-up sheet for December is available in the Gathering Space.


You are invited to join members of our parish at 3 p.m. on Fridays and Sundays in front of Planned Parenthood (6511 W. 41st Street) to pray for a greater respect for all human life from conception to natural death. We pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Rosary and would love to have you join us.
