+Grieving the Loss of a Parent or Sibling: Directed by Dr. Marcie Moran, this 6-week program (Sept. 18th-Oct. 23rd) is held each Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Catholic Family Services (523 N. Duluth Ave.) This program is for adults grieving the loss of a parent or sibling. Parents and siblings play significant roles in our lives and this loss requires a significant adjustment. +Praying the Scriptures with Mary is a 2-day retreat offered at the Benedictine Peace Center in Yankton. Join us Fri.-Sun., Sept. 21st-23rd to discover how Mary and Jesus prayed. Learn from them as you delve more deeply into the Scriptures behind the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary. +Bishop's Charity Hunt: The 23rd Annual Bishop’s Charity Hunt is scheduled for Monday & Tuesday, Sept. 24th & 25th at Horseshoe “K” Ranch near Kimball, SD. This is a truly memorable outing that includes lodging, breakfast, lunch, dinner, social, trap shoot, hunting, and pheasant cleaning. An additional bonus is fellowship with Bishop Swain, daily Mass, and interaction with many priests of our diocese. All proceeds from this event benefit the Newman Catholic Campus Ministry in our diocese.

+Theology on Tap: Fr. Kristopher Cowles on "Conversion: What actually takes place?" Come to the Blarney Stone on Tuesday, September 25th at 7 p.m. to hear Fr. Kristopher Cowles talk about the ins and outs of the process of conversion. We'll be in the downstairs of the Blarney Stone. Anyone 21 + years old is welcomed! +Life is Good: A Diocesan Respect Life Conference: The Office of Marriage, Family and Respect Life, and the South Dakota Catholic Conference will be hosting a respect life conference on Saturday, October 6th from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The day will emphasize a comprehensive and evangelistic approach to the pro-life conversation. Whether you're a pro-life advocate or simply trying to live your best life, you're sure to be inspired.

+Mark your calendars now for the Sioux Empire Life Chain on Sunday, Oct. 7th from 2-3 p.m. Join us in standing in silent prayer for the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death. We’ll stand along 41st Street from Louise Ave.-Sertoma Ave. Signs will be available at the O’GHS and Sioux Falls First Church parking lots.

+Walking Rosary is held on the first Friday of every month at St Michael Cemetery (rain or shine) beginning at 10 a.m. Please gather at the Chapel on the west side of the office. When the weather doesn't cooperate, we stay in the Chapel.

The Kickoff Rally for the vigil will be held Wed., Sept. 19th at 6:30 p.m. on the front lawn of Sioux Falls First Church, rain or shine. Please park in their west parking lot. We will open with the Lord's Prayer, and then you may pick up a 40 Days for Life yard sign, or carry your own. You get to keep the 40 Days sign as a thank you for being there. We know you are committed to the respect life cause. We will march to Planned Parenthood and stand for 1/2 hour of individual prayer because of the traffic noise on 41st Street. Our St. Katharine Drexel Parish Vocations Committee invites you to pray for vocations, especially for those in our parish who are considering the vocation of priesthood, religious life, or the permanent diaconate. Please join our Vocations Committee in our Chapel for Eucharistic Adoration for the intention of vocations on the first Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and a Rosary for vocations each Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m.

 St. Katharine Drexel Parish serves supper at the St. Francis House (1301 E. Austin St.) on    the 3rd Friday evening of each month. Four people are needed to come at 5:30 p.m. to   help  make and serve supper and 3 people are needed to bake goodies for dessert. The    sign-up sheets for October-December are available in the Gathering Space.

You are invited to join members of our parish at 3 p.m. on Fridays and Sundays in front of Planned Parenthood (6511 W. 41st Street) to pray for a greater respect for all human life from conception to natural death. We pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Rosary and would love to have you join us.
