Meet Members from Our Communications Committee

George & Mickey Lipetzky

George Lipetzky is a member of the Communication and Prayer Committee, as well as the Events Committee for St. Katharine Drexel Parish and also serves as a lector, lay minister, and collection counter.  He explains, “We volunteer for the satisfaction that we can make a difference in forming our community of St. Katharine Drexel Parish.”

George and his wife, Mickey have been members of St. Katharine Drexel Parish since its inception and were also charter members of St. Michael Parish.  They have been married for an impressive 52 years and have one daughter and six sons, “all happily married in our Catholic faith that has given us 25 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.”  Faith and family are very important to them, and it is very evident to anyone who knows them.

Michele and Charles Novacek

Michele Novacek serves as a member of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish Communications Committee.  She and her family have been members of the parish since its formation.  Michele states, “I enjoy being a member of the Communications Committee because it gives me an opportunity meet new people and to be a part of something that will have a positive impact on my family and lots of other families in Sioux Falls.” 

Michele and her husband Charles have one son, Keegan, who is six years old and attends Kindergarten at St. Michael/St. Katharine Drexel Elementary.  Michele has been with Wells Fargo for 17 years and currently works as an Operational Risk Consultant.  In addition, she operates a small home-based business called Etches and Edibles, which offers personalized candy wrappers, water bottles, and mintbooks for all occasions. 

Charles works at Tiger Corporation.  Michele spends her free time with family, attending Keegan’s activities and antique tractor pulls with her husband.  She also enjoys taking time to try out new recipes.
