I would like to take this

  opportunity to introduce

myself. My name is Mary Jo

Gallagher and I have been a

  member of St. Katharine

  Drexel Parish since 2006.

My husband, Dan, and I have

  have four children,

  Sunshine, who is married to

  Pat Silver; Michael, who is

married to Kateri; Chasity; who is married to Eric Soupir;
and Carrie, who is married to Paul Clarey and is also a
member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish. I have two
granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Sienna.
My husband and I met at Search for Christian Maturity
when we were in high school and we have been involved
in that program in the diocese. I have been involved in
various youth ministry programs throughout Sioux Falls
and facilitated a youth group in my home when my children
were in high school.
I believe that our young people need to have an
experience of Christ’s love in their life.
My ministry objective is to aid our youth in faith formation
and assist them in fostering a relationship with Christ
through the Sacraments. Our youth are not the future of the
Church, our youth are the Church and they need to be
treated as such. I am very excited to be your new youth
minister and look forward to getting to know and serve the
youth of our parish.
